Surprisingly, over 15,000 Jews participated in underground Resistance organizations and Partisan squads on Soviet soil. Unlike other resistance groups, Jewish Partisans prioritized the rescue of Jews, embracing everyone—women, the elderly, and children.

"PRESERVING THE FLAME OF MEMORY"
Now our focus is shifted to the post-WWII era in the USSR, where returning Jewish survivors found not only ruins but also a haunting silence. The KGB, throughout the Soviet era, exerted relentless efforts to erase the memory of the Holocaust. Yet, Jews resiliently resisted.
We will uncover the attempts by the KGB to wipe away this painful history and witness the extraordinary efforts made by Jews to defy these erasures and preserve the unwelcomed memory.
We'll share stories of courage, strength, and the remarkable fight of Soviet Jews against KGB to preserve the memory of the Holocaust inspite of all odds.
